Behind every cause, there lies those who work to accelerate its progress. Math Mania is committed to establishing the love and familiarity of mathematics as a commonplace among students while bringing awareness to the limitless applications of math in the real world.

        Mathematics is an essential subject that provides students with the tools to solve problems and understand the world around them. It is important to establish a love for math early on so that students are more likely to continue learning and applying math concepts throughout their lives. In addition, far too many people are unaware of the diverse range of applications of mathematics beyond academia, such as in finance, engineering, data science, and many other fields, preventing them from pursuing mathematics in college. Raising awareness of these applications can help students see the relevance of math in their daily lives and inspire them to pursue careers in STEM fields. Overall, Math Mania's commitment to promoting the fondness of mathematics among students while also highlighting the limitless applications of math is a valuable and important goal.

        Students never experience anxiety because of solely poor skills and effort. It is anxiety that causes them to fall into a cycle of poor performance and demotivation. Math Mania aims to tackle this issue by exposing students to math in completely different ways than the regular school classroom, which is usually the cause of many students' aversion to math. From community events that mathematically engage students in fun ways to scholarship-prize competitions with unconventional math problems, we will do our best to refute all the negative stereotypes about mathematics as well as teach children how to embrace the utility of math in impactful ways.

Why do we care at all to help the community?

• If it is not us, someone else will eventually has to play our role in aiding the intellectual progress of our world anyways.
• We ignore what our hearts tell us and listen to our minds. We don't have some gut feeling telling us to do what we do. In fact, most charitable works aren't completely based in emotion. Humans fail to capture the intensity of a grand issue due to a phenomena called scope insensitivity. It is our awareness of this that guides our actions.
• We love math! :)
